The Group's walks, ranging in difficulty from Easy to Technical, extend over Cheshire, Wirral, North Wales and Snowdonia, Lancashire, the Peak District, Staffordshire and Shropshire. Due to the rural nature of most of our walks, dogs are not allowed. In addition to the Sunday walks listed on this site, averaging 10 miles in length, Cestrian (Chester) Ramblers Group organises shorter midweek walks on the second and last Thursday of each month, evening walks in Summer and evening meals and other social events for members. Occasional themed walks are also organised. The Group has a thriving Footpaths Section which walks local public rights of way fortnightly in support of the local Borough Authorities. Routine path maintenance is carried out, and any serious problems encountered are reported to the relevant Authority. |
