More information
Explore the sounds, stories and instruments that have been played in the county from medieval times to today. Including some musical firsts and colourful traditions.
Themes are illustrated with photographs of medieval carvings of musicians from around Cheshire, a wide range of intriguing old instruments from the museum's collections and local lenders, and examples of musical posters, programmes and photographs through the ages.
The exhibition is accompanied by a lively programme of events including performances and the chance to "meet the instruments" and try them for yourself.
A range of organisations and members of the public have provided details of
events contained in this database. Cheshire West and Chester Council cannot
