More information

This ornamental park, one of the finest in the country, was opened in 1867, the gift of Richard Grosvenor, 2nd Marquess of Westminster. Many of the features were designed by the renowned architect John Douglas - the gateways, the canopy to Billy Hobby's Well, and the park keeper's lodge with its carved features. This walk, led by a Chester Tour Guide, takes a look at some of the ancient arches, avenues and hidden gems of this well loved park. Book at Chester History and Heritage 01244 402110. Walk starts just outside Chester History and Heritage.
