More information

Engineering isn't just nuts, bolts and engines. A large number of everyday items have been engineered. Cheshire isn't a place that springs to mind when engineering is mentioned. However, lead in Chester has a history stretching back 200 years, the railway at Crewe over 250 years and the Anderton Boat Lift, Warrington Transporter Bridge and the Grosvenor Bridge are all impressive reminders of what engineers can achieve.

A range of organisations and members of the public have provided details of events contained in this database. Event details can often change at short notice; it is advisable to check with the organisers that the event is going ahead before attending.
