This small exhibition shows day and evening dresses cocktail and dance dresses, ranging from Parisian haute couture such as Dior and Jaques Fath, to those made in Wilmslow and Liverpool. With their nipped in waists, full skirts and fitted bodices, they epitomise the glamour of fashion's golden age.
